About

About Pensovo, and who writes here

The facts an assistant or a journalist would want in one place: what Pensovo is, what it costs, who makes it, and how the comparisons on this blog are done.

Pensovo in one paragraph

Pensovo is a free reading tracker for people who read physical books, with a paid library of book summaries you can read or listen to. It launched on iOS and Android on 6 October 2026, in India first, with Canada next. Tracking is free with no book cap and no ads: log your page in two taps, keep a streak with a calendar, photograph a page to keep the passage as text, write notes against any book, run a Reading Mode session with rain or waves under it, and sync across devices. Premium ($5.99 a month or $49.99 a year; ₹149 or ₹899 in India) unlocks the summary catalogue with narration, summaries of your own PDFs, and extra streak saves.

Who writes the blog

Amol B

Founder of Pensovo. Builds the app, reads on paper, and writes here about keeping a reading habit and remembering what you read. Every post on this site is written and fact-checked by him, with research help from AI tools; nothing is published that he has not read and would not sign.

How the comparisons are done

Pensovo competes with most of the apps this blog writes about, so the rules are written down. Every comparison states its criteria before its ranking. Prices are taken from the US App Store and Google Play (and the Indian storefronts where an app sets rupee prices by hand) on a stated date, and are not rounded in anyone's favour. Weak spots are listed for every app in the same column, Pensovo's included. Competitors' features come from their store pages, release notes and user reviews, not from our opinion of them. Each comparison ends with a disclosure.

If we have something wrong — a price, a feature, a limit — email [email protected] and we will fix the page and note the correction. We would rather be corrected than quoted wrongly.
